Schematic Design is developing a big picture design for the overall project. I will typically prepare several different options for review. We can try out different schemes and mix and match features from different options until we reach a design the owners love. This is inherently an iterative process. We’ll best meet the owners' goals by refining the design through a few rounds of drawings. I’ll typically do these schematic designs by hand, so as to quickly explore many different schemes.
