This early twentieth century house had a service kitchen typical for its day, but unsuited to modern use: many small rooms and niches that didn’t allow a family to prepare food and eat and relax together. We carved out the interior to create a new large open kitchen with an eating area, a built-in desk, and a casual sitting area.
