When the new owners purchased this house near Central Square, there were two rooms at the rear of the first floor in extreme disrepair. We combined them and shaped them into one large room that serves as a kitchen and family room.

We reconfigured the roofline, adding monitor windows that bring natural light to the center of the space. We added new windows all around as well.

A custom two-tiered island serves as the focal point of the room.
