The design of this new house is based on the Arts & Crafts movement of the nineteenth century. The owners and I looked at houses by Greene & Greene in particular for inspiration on interior details and materials. Custom cherry casework and trim is featured throughout, in simple rectangular forms with soft corners common to Greene & Greene’s work. |
