Jan Wampler teaches architecture at MIT. He believes strongly in integrating design studios with the other parts of the architectural curriculum so that design does not take place in a vacuum. He brings other educators into the studio to discuss structures, daylighting, HVAC, landscaping, and other issues.

I have helped Jan teach studios for many years at all levels. I concentrate on the structural aspects of students' designs as they are developed, so that structure is integrated into their designs from the start. I consider it an honor to be able to teach alongside Jan.
